OUT OF TOWN
We are happy to accommodate out of town patients who are interested in rhinoplasty with Dr. Murray.
There are two main steps to the process:
1. Consultation: We require consultation prior to booking the surgery. There are two options for consultation – in office and online. Given that most likely out of town patients will prefer an online consultation, this option will allow you to meet the doctor and for Dr. Murray to assess your candidacy for surgery without having to travel to Miami ahead of time. Please note that this will require you to send high quality photos for analysis. More details can be found on the Online Consultation page. We do prefer that revision rhinoplasty patients come for in office consultation if at all possible, since it can be hard to do simulations without in person exam in patients who have already had surgery.
2. Surgery: Once you have done a consultation, you will receive a quote by email. If you decide to book, you can do all of your pre-operative work up at home. We require patients to fly in the day before the surgery. If you have not had an in office consultation already, you must plan to get here early enough to be seen in the office that day for examination and professional photos. Last appointment of the day is 4pm. You must stay in town the night of the surgery. The following day you can plan to return home and recover at home or you can stay in Miami. You will need to plan to be back in the office for your first post operative visit on either day 6 or 7 (we will schedule you).
Dr. Murray is committed to this process and to getting you the absolute best result possible. The follow up schedule after the reveal day will depend on the patient, what was done during surgery, and how the healing process is going. There may be a need to come back and see the doctor periodically (every few months) for examination and possible injections or small touch-ups. For some, this may be unnecessary as rhinoplasty is kind of a “set it and forget it” healing process, where you just have to be patient for the 12-24 months post surgery. Again though, the healing isn’t finished after the first week, so there is always the need potentially to intervene along the way depending how it looks. Keep this in mind when budgeting for the surgery and travel post op. We ultimately want you have the best nose possible!
